Overview
To elevate a utilitarian small appliance—the humidifier/diffuser—into a high-design, decorative lifestyle object. The challenge was to fuse the functional requirements of home air care with the unique, expressive aesthetic of the Kartell brand, creating a product that serves equally well as a functional humidifier/diffuser and an ambient lamp.
How might we integrate air quality technology into a decorative piece that uses Kartell's signature materials and forms, ultimately challenging the perception of home appliances?
