Overview
This project is a publication design focused on visualizing and clarifying the complex outpatient experience within the fragmented United States healthcare system. Leveraging skills in user research and visual design, the core objective was to transform key patient pain points and research insights into a structured, accessible, and empathetic informational book.
Current outpatient experience in the healthcare system
Healthcare in the United States is a complex system composed of competing private companies that provide public health coverage to those who can afford it. While the US’s privatized profit-driven healthcare system spurs world-leading medical innovation, it comes with many trade-offs and shortfalls including fragmentation between services and providers, inaccessibility, and inconsistent quality of care for patients.
